Things I will miss about Brussels (VII)

Tropismes is not just a bookshop (‘La Posada’, close by, is internationally mentioned as ‘the’ bookshop to visit in Brussels but I must say I was never able to fall in love with it). Tropismes is a place to go, read books, mingle, turn the pages of books we will never buy (and of those we will buy), touch the covers, look at the mirrors and seat for a coffee. Their best section is, in my opinion, social sciences. And they have a great plus vis-à-vis other bookshops: the staff here knows about books, they know they are not selling vegetables. Doesn’t that make a huge difference?
