GO TO THE BOOKSHOP, NOW! - Oprah and Obama mentioned the book which surely was a great help. The author, Joseph O'Neill, was born in Ireland and lives in New York. He wrote this book called "Netherland" about the post 9/11 America trying to reconcile itself with its nature. Seen by an European (a Dutch) who travels back and forward between NY and London, it is a breathtaking book, a stunning portrait of everything we love about America (and everything we hate too). Excelent stuff for a great film also, I would dare to say (and only one filmmaker could do it: Spike Lee). Forget the Mardi Gras parades and go to the bookshop now. It's a must read, believe me.
