I started with great enthusiasm but it quickly vanished. In any case, I went through those 1000 pages that several have considered one of the most important books in decades. Let me be honest and direct: I found it boring, uninteresting and pointless. No, I’m not joining the “bolañomania” that is spreading around. I see no point in writing a book of 1000 pages to tell a story that may go in 200.
